Collective Pokédex

Every Pokémon is someone’s favorite

The Collective Pokédex is revealed through real fan declarations. A Pokémon becomes discovered when someone chooses it as a favorite and explains why. Every discovered Pokémon has at least one trainer who cared enough to make that declaration official. This is not a normal Pokédex built around stats, abilities, or evolution data. It is a fan-powered Pokédex built around affection. Some Pokémon are loved because they were a first partner. Some are loved because of their design, their role in a favorite game, a memory from the anime, a competitive battle, a shiny hunt, or a personal connection that is hard to explain but easy to feel.

Hidden Pokémon are still waiting for their first fan declaration.

How discovery works

A Pokémon is revealed in the Collective Pokédex when it receives at least one favorite declaration. Until then, it remains hidden. This keeps the focus on the central idea of the project: every Pokémon deserves the chance to be someone’s favorite.

When a trainer declares a Pokémon, that Pokémon joins the discovered side of the Pokédex. If the trainer writes a reason, that story becomes part of the Pokémon’s fan history. Over time, each discovered Pokémon can collect many reasons from many different fans. Some reasons are short and funny. Some are emotional. Some are about childhood, battles, anime episodes, favorite designs, or simply vibes.

The discovery system is meant to make fans curious. Which Pokémon already have fans? Which ones are still waiting? Which Pokémon have dozens of declarations, and which ones only needed one person to prove that they matter?

Find Pokémon by number, name, generation, or discovery status

Use the search and filters to explore the Collective Pokédex. You can browse all Pokémon, view only discovered Pokémon, or look for hidden Pokémon that are still waiting for their first declaration. You can also filter by generation or sort by number, name, or fan count. The discovered view shows Pokémon that already have at least one fan declaration. The hidden view shows Pokémon that have not yet been revealed in the collective Pokédex. A hidden Pokémon is not unloved forever — it is simply waiting for the right trainer to declare it.

Discovered Pokémon

Discovered Pokémon have already been chosen by at least one fan. Open a discovered Pokémon to read real declarations and learn why trainers love it. Some Pokémon may have many declarations, while others may have only one. Both matter, because the goal is not only to find the most popular Pokémon — it is to show that every Pokémon can belong to someone.

Why a fan-powered Pokédex matters

Most Pokédex pages explain what a Pokémon is. The Collective Pokédex tries to explain why a Pokémon matters to someone. That difference is important. A Pokémon can be weak in battle and still be unforgettable. A Pokémon can be obscure and still be someone’s comfort character. A Pokémon can be unpopular in rankings and still be the exact favorite of a trainer somewhere.

That is why this page focuses on declarations instead of official stats. Every fan reason adds context that a normal chart cannot show. A single sentence can explain why a Pokémon stayed in someone’s memory for years. A long story can show how a game, an anime moment, or a personal experience turned a Pokémon into a favorite.

The Collective Pokédex is not only about completion. It is about proof that love for Pokémon is personal, weird, nostalgic, emotional, funny, and sometimes completely unexpected.

Where the Pokédex data comes from

The Collective Pokédex is based on favorite Pokémon declarations submitted on FavoritePokemon.app. When trainers pick their favorite Pokémon and submit a reason, that declaration can appear in the Pokédex. Fan counts are based on the declarations available to the site.

This project is fan-made and independent. It is not an official Pokémon database, and it is not meant to replace the official Pokédex. Instead, it is a community layer: a place to see which Pokémon people love and why they love them.
